About Project
"Papa School” - Towards Responsible Fatherhood"(July - September 2022) project is implemented within the framework of the programs "European Union for Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence" and "Elimination of gender-based sex selection and related harmful practices in the South Caucasus" with the financial support of the European Union.

Papa School, a pioneering project by Gender Hub Azerbaijan, has been a powerful force in promoting active fatherhood and challenging discriminatory social norms by providing safe spaces for young men to learn and reflect, Papa School has fostered positive changes in attitudes and behaviors toward parenting.
During the project, a total of 489 [fathers and fathers-to-be were] joined in each region. 48% of the involved fathers participated in the project regularly and attended at least 5 of 8 sessions. It is implemented in eight provinces (Baku, Ganja, Tovuz, Agstafa, Mingacevir, Qakh, Sumgait, and Lankaran); Team of facilitators, especially the ones who already had family that could create space for discussion by bringing their examples and changes in their behaviors and attitudes since the birth of their children. Furthermore, the project's impact goes beyond the individual participants, as it contributes to building a more inclusive and gender-equal society where active fatherhood is valued and celebrated.
