Within the framework of the project supported by the British government, information sessions were held with high school students and young teachers in different regions of our country, organized by Gender Hub Azerbaijan, from January 25 to February 28. As a conclusion of the project, a training course "Teachers against gender-based stereotypes" held in Baku on March 3-5 with the participation of 25 young and motivated teachers selected from different regions of the country. Within the framework of the project, earlier, Gender Hub Azerbaijan conducted information sessions of the same nature in Barda, Sheki, Khachmaz, Aghjabedi, Lankaran regions. In total, the trainings involved more than 1,500 students and more than 500 teachers.
In the sessions, discussions were held on the topics of early marriage, consanguineous marriages, fighting bullying in schools, gender-based discrimination, harmful traditions that lead to violence (abducting girls, early marriage), the need to transform social norms, and the role of schools in these processes.
As part of the BREN project, we developed an advocacy plan to promote the implementation of Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security and raise awareness about the National Action Plan (NAP) for Azerbaijan. To reach a wider audience, we created social media accounts on
